Grok describes Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) as a “political and social movement associated with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and supported by figures like Donald Trump during the 2024 U.S. presidential campaign. Introduced in July 2024, MAHA aims to address chronic health issues, environmental concerns, and distrust in government health agencies. It critiques the influence of corporate interests (like food and pharmaceutical industries) on public health, advocating for cleaner air, water, and food, and reducing chronic diseases like obesity and diabetes.”
When Kennedy dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Donald Trump his following went with him. The MAHA vote put president trump over the top to win the 2024 election. He repaid the movement by appointing Kennedy as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. It remains to be seen whether or not the Trump Administration will assist Kennedy in carrying out the MAHA agenda, or sabotage his efforts in order to maintain the status quo.
Either way those of us that care about of the health of Americans need to keep working on the outside to get our agenda implemented.
